Christmas 2016 - The outfits, the makeup and of course the product reviews!

Hello and welcome to 2016!

I hope 2016 is a fantastic year for all of you ❤️ I know I'm a little late for the HNY posts 🎉 to all my family and friends,, a huge Happy New Year! Hope you all have a happy and healthy 2016 🎀

Now with that,

Let’s get to the good stuff!

For the traditional Irish Christmas, you have the Turkey, stuffing, a box of roses, celebrations and a good 'aul selection box.

But the one thing you can count on for the perfect Irish Christmas is a ridiculous and irrational amount of drink.

How to jump-start the festivities is the 12 pubs of Christmas!

As you all know, now that I'm a business student in LIT in Limerick I don't get home a lot to Lahinch now that I live there.

In a small tiny town like Lahinch, you can imagine, there are barely 12 pubs!

I know the norm is to bare the almighty Christmas jumper, the uglier the better! Lights, bells the whole lot!

But myself and my friends decided to adorn a more modern approach!

I wore a khaki green dress, keeping in with the whole Christmas colour scheme. I bought a dress off Boohoo.com before the Christmas and I couldn’t wait to wear it!

It has two mini slits on the sides which elongate my legs.

My legs are a real problem area for me, mostly because they're too small for my body I'm not proportioned 100% in my favour!

Every girl has their issues don’t they?

But with a strappy sandal heel from Shoe Rack and a curly hair-do I was good to go!

To keep in with the whole Christmas theme, instead of the jumper I had a gold teddy-bear pin with a pearl belly and a ruby Christmas hat stuck into my dress.

He was my drinking buddy for the night! The girls and I all stayed in with the festive colours, reds, tartan, white and greens.

The next outfit was Christmas Day, I felt like Fran Drescher in this outfit! I got the skirt off Boohoo.com, I got most of my Christmas clothes from there, in one big haul!

The turtle neck is from Penneys of course with a pair of tights and black suede ankle boots, again from Penneys.

Christmas dinner was fab as always! Now to face the gym after being a slob for the past few weeks!

The next night out was St.Stephens night, I bought the dress on Boohoo.com (again of course!) I loved the dress because of the criss-cross pattern on the top. For a flat-chested gal it really helped it look like I had cleavage.

I gave the curly do a rest and straightened my hair with a darker eye and a brown-nude lip, a real Kardashian Style, all black, dead straight hair and a nude makeup look.

The next night out, which was my favourite was New Years eve!

Now I was completely strapped for a dress, so a quick message to one of the girls and I was sorted.

She told me she got the dress in Celebrity Boutique.

It was a gorgeous cerise pink bandage dress, which weighed a tonne and a half!

I paired that with a nude heel and a bag with similar makeup from St.Stephens day with a darker lip with plum and copper eyes.

Now for the make up products!

I used the same products for each look, except for the lip liner! Believe it or not, Penneys best!

The Catrice brand to be exact.

The shades I used for New Years eve and Christmas day was called Hey Macadamia Ahey! ( I know right...) And then I used another one for the 12 pubs called the Upper Brown Side.

I used my crown brush palette which I got off the fat man himself this year! I love it! My experience with the crown brush 10 colour concealer palette was that it was IDEAL for contouring!

I countoured with my Crown Brush palette over myfounation, blended it in with my beauty blender and then I used my NYX Christmas set which included contour powders that I've talked about a lot in numerous blogs I've written.

I got that originally as a present and I think you can get them in Shaws, but I havent seen it persoanlly myself. If any of my fab readersdo spot it please visit the CONTACT section on my website and drop me an email on where I can get it! Because both myself and my sister have both hit pan on our sets and are in serious and desperate need of refills!

I also used my Carli Bybel palette which I bought off BH cosmetics!

Link- http://www.bhcosmetics.com/products/carli-bybel I am literally obsessed with it!

Again I got it as a Christmas present, and the four highlighters and 10 eye-shadow shades are literally to die!

The plum and copper tones are what I used for my makeup look on new years and I've experimented with the highlighters.

My favourite so far has been the two middle ones.

I mixed and matched according to my foundation, I switched between my La Roche Posay foundation and my INGLOT HD foundation in shade 76.

The La Roche Posay was a lighter shade with better coverage although after a while it became slightly greasy so I recommend a good setting powder for under the eyes and for the face. A good under eye concealer setting powder is my W7 Banana Dreams discovery!

If you click this link http://kirstonifiedfashion.wix.com/kirstonifiedfashion#!Ben-NYE-Banana-Powder-Product-Review/fq70v/E8B66478-C476-423E-AB47-3B733793A3B3

It's a product review on the Ben NYE banana powder, which I feel the W7 is just as good. A powder for all round the face I would recommend Benefits Hello flawless! Or the Urban decay naked skin ultra-definition powder.

For the lashes I chose the trusted Ardell Demi-Wispies. I bought a few packs of those and bought DUO glue to apply them with.

The only issue I had with DUO glue was applying it. I found personally that the nozzle on the head of it was difficult to apply especially with my gel nails on!

Which brings me to my next point; the nails!

So there are two fantastic nail artists I want to mention in this blog post. First of all, Fiona Slade from O’Reillys in Limerick City who did a fantastic job on both sets of my nails ( the pink ones and the dark purple ones) and who is as sweet as anything!

Along with the fact that she is amazing at her job.

Another lady is Andrea from Hair 22 in Ennistymon Co.Clare who refilled the nails for me over the holidays while I was at home in Clare.

Unfortunately I’m new to her so I don’t have a last name, but if you contact Hair 22 in Ennistymon I’m sure you can book an appointment with her through them.

Andrea was so sweet aswell and I was super hungover the day I was in to her ( my appointment was the 23rd.... the day AFTER the 12 pubs at 9.30 in the morning!) she took such good care of me and my nails!
